Trail Guidelines
Use of Trail Creek and Town of Olds tracks and trails is AT OWN RISK
Please Ski Responsibly
All trail users are responsible for knowing and adhering to the Cross Country Responsibility Code, and as always, be sure to SKI SMART:
Tell a family member or a friend of your ski plans and approximate return times
Bring a cell phone (reception is good)
Dress appropriately for the weather
Membership for Trail Creek Trails
Generous local landowners have graciously allowed access and use of the Trail Creek Headwaters Area for responsible winter use by the Mountain View Nordic Ski Club. Trail maintenance, track-setting, and liability insurance is funded by membership in the club (and a significant dose of volunteer spirit). We request non-members contribute $5 per person per session via E-transfer or Cash at the trailhead .
No Pets on Trails
At this time, trails are limited to non-motorized humans only. The Trail Creek Trails are set within an important forest ecology, and provide a safe haven for local moose, deer, and a variety of birdlife. Please enjoy the wildlife at a distance, and refrain from bringing dogs.
Moose Alert!
There are resident moose, deer, and coyotes at Trail Creek. Wildlife can be hazardous. Moose, in particular, are regular visitors. Please do not approach, give way, turn back, and wait for them to move on.
